Europa League Results Matchday 4

The fourth round of the Europa League has just been played where only Atalanta and Bayern Leverkusen mathematically secured qualification for the next round. They still have to keep the first spot to not play an extra round.
The surprise of this round of the Europa League comes from France where Toulouse beat Liverpool 3-2, thus leaving the question of first place open.
Roma fell to the Czech Republic where they lost 2-0, putting first place at risk which would allow them to play one round less than last year where they finished second after Betis.
Excellent results also for Marseille and Brighton who won away in Greece and Holland 0-2, the French maintain first place with eight points and the English Brighton follow with seven. It’s a shame to see Ajax in last place who until a few years ago were in the Europa League final and narrowly missed the UEFA Champions League final and now they just have to try to finish third to play in the Conference League.
