The third round of the Champions League recently concluded and produced a lot of emotion.
In the group of death, Newcastle, after an excellent match against PSG, were surprised by Dortmund at home where they lost 0-1 with a goal from Felix Nmecha at the end of the first half, even if the hosts tried throughout the match. they can do nothing in front of the German wall.
In the other match, PSG overwhelms Milan 3-0 in France with goals from the usual Kylian Mbappé, while the other French striker Kolo Muani doubles the result in the 53rd minute. Finally, the third goal of the evening was scored by North Korean Kang-in Lee.
Manchester United return to the competition in Group A thanks to a minimal 1-0 victory against Copenhagen. This time the hero is the Cameroonian goalkeeper Onana who manages to save a penalty in the 97th minute which allows Manchester to have their first victory in this edition. Bayern Munich easily win 3-1 in Turkey against Galatasaray and are now just one point away from mathematical qualification.
The reigning winners Manchester City passed without any problem in Switzerland against Young Boys 3-1 with two goals from the Norwegian giant Haaland and a goal from Akanji. Same result also for Leipzig who have no difficulties in Germany against Crvena Zvezda.
In Group D, Inzaghi’s Inter won 2-1 against Salzburg at San Siro thanks to goals from Alexis Sanchez and Çalhanoglu from penalties.
Sociedad also kept pace with Inter by winning 1-0 in Portugal against Benfica, with the Spaniards and Mendez scoring the only goal in the second half.
