Champions League results, table. 19.09.2023

The first Champions League matches were played today.
The first matches that were played for this edition were Milan-Newcastle which ended 0-0 although Milan dominated throughout the match and tried more than 25 times to shoot on goal but could not beat Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope. Leipzig did their duty in Switzerland against Young Boys by winning 1-3.
In the evening it was the turn of the reigning champions Manchester City to do their duty and after closing the first half at a 0-1 disadvantage against Cervena Zveza overturned the result 3-1 with two goals from Alvarez and Rodri.
Barcelona overwhelmed the Belgians of Antwerp 5-0 and it was an excellent game from Joao Felix who scored 2 times and assisted Lewandowski.
As for the other matches, Lazio drew 1-1 with Atletico Madrid with a goal in the 95th minute by goalkeeper Provedel.
PSG won easily 2-0 against Dortmund with two goals at the start of the second half from Mbappe and Hakimi.
Feyenoord won against Celtic 2-0, also taking advantage of two red cards received by the guests, and Porto played an excellent game, dominating Shakhtar Donetsk from the first half 3-1.
